- ProtoShell uses GORE-TEX ePE 100% recycled polyester plain-weave face fabric, which is partially made from BIONIC® recycled coastal and marine plastic sourced in Costa Rica. Shell and lining have a durable water repellent (DWR)finish made without perfluorinated chemicals (PFCs/PFAS)
- Body, sleeves and hood are insulated with cozy 700-fill-power 100% Recycled Down (duck and goose down reclaimed from down products) with an adjustable interior waist cinch system to customize fit
- The fixed hood has hidden side and rear adjustment cords that cinch down for protective warmth and storm cuffs at the arm hems to seal in warmth and can be worn over or under a glove
- Two-way, center-front zipper with an external storm flap secures with a hidden snap closure, and there's an interior storm flap and a brushed tricot-lined collar for added chin comfort
- Two welt, waterproof, zippered handwarmer pockets (one with an interior cellphone pocket pouch), one sub-storm flap external zippered Napolean chestpocket, one internal zippered chest pocket, and one internal drop-in pocket
